The re-wiring of the house was mostly completed some time ago. It was a proirity to replace the old, worn wiring.
Rich started the project...
...in October, 2005 and it progressed as we moved from room to room deciding where to add new electrical outlets, overhead wiring for lighting or ceiling fans, etc.
This project also entailed running new telephone and cable lines, but as with any large undertaking like this, there were some loose ends to tie up. Rich has spent the past few weekends tying up those loose ends into a big, pretty bow! For all intent and purpose, it’s finished! So now the job of cleaning up the mess begins. The chase that was cut...
...to run the new wiring is being closed and will disappear soon.
Woodwork that was removed for the same purpose has been replaced.
The thermostat was relocated from the first floor to the second and we finally have a doorbell! Man, can't wait to get some paint on these walls!
Meanwhile, the living room project has not been forgotten. The bookcase has been painted and looks fantastic. The chair rail has now been painted in the same color as the wall, in semi-gloss.
Just a few more odds and ends in here and we’ll be ready for Jeff, the floor guy, to work his magic!
