Remodeling the Christmas Tree!

Well, the Remodel, Blog & Win Contest is over--Let the judging begin!!  The winner will be announced next Friday, December 7

We received a last minute assignment/challenge from RemodelingMySpace's guru, Paul, to write a creative entry about the Christmas Tree Decorating pictures in the "Christmas Decoration Ideas" section on the site.  Check out the beautifully decorated trees:  They will get you in the spirit for the season!

Unfortunately, we might have misread the instructions--We thought we had to decorate a tree!  Knee deep in our renovation, we haven't put up a tree since we moved to Kraemer House in 2005.  We at least have managed to put wreaths on the front doors.

We were on a Christmas Tour of Homes a few years back at our other house in Ohio, and got our fill of the season to last a lifetime!  Two weekends, seven trees, weeks of preparation, and hundreds of people later, we had had enough!  Now, we'd like to put up a tree, but things are still in a perpetual state of restovation.

So, in the spirit of the Contest, the Holiday Season, and this never-ending Renovation, we present our RemodelingMySpace.com Christmas tree!  Bedazzled with hexagon tiles, steel wool, sanding paper, electrical wire, paint brushes, mini cans of paint, paint swatches, door knobs, painter's tape, sawdust for snow, and topped with a saw blade star, it's a statement of our situation!

If your holiday needs a little remodeling, renovation, or creative ideas, check out the one's at RemodelingMySpace.com for inspiration!
