Another project that was stalled for awhile has begun again. The first floor bathroom got some attention this past weekend. The heating mat for the floor went in...
...and the tile was laid.
The grouting should be completed this week.
And, yet another project has begun! The smallest of all of the rooms in the house is a room adjacent to the master bedroom on the second floor. It was denoted as a “sewing room” on the blueprint from the 1944 remodel. Dividing these two rooms are two closets which were added during that remodel to divide a larger space into two rooms. So, with removing the closets, we are simply taking the space back to it’s original plan.
The trim, mouldings, and doors have been removed in preparation for taking down the plaster and framing that make up the closets.
In the end, it will make for a better use of the space. The plans for this master suite are similar to the Ohio house where the sitting room is adjacent to the master bedroom.
