No doubt, some of you will get a kick out of this...
We weren’t happy with the way the flooring butted up to the detail on the woodwork. The
plinth blocks were too high and didn’t meet the flooring properly and the kitchen team was going to attach quarter round to the baseboard and then fill it with caulk (YIKES!) so Rich took it upon himself to do the job right. They have so much other stuff to do and being under a time constraint, details like this get lost in the process. But as we try to restore Kraemer House, these particulars have to be fixed. So...
He spent some time removing flooring;
building up the plinth blocks with wood and putty;
and making the finished appearance appropriate for this fine house. So we didn't cause anyone additional work, we also sanded, primed, and painted.
