The Task of Tree Removal: Week of September 12-18

The week began with taking down several diseased trees. While this project took a week longer than estimated, it went smoothly and the tree man, Shannon, and his crew did a great job. They chipped all of the wood into mulch that we'll use around the property--our way to recycle. It was a shame to have to take all of those trees down but they were a danger and it was necessary. As one arborist explained: Everything has a life cycle and will eventually die--we expect trees to live forever but they eventually die too. We are happy, though, that we can add these mulched/chipped trees back into the soil, thus continuing the life cycle. We'll be replacing these trees with new ones soon. Madnolias, Dogwoods, Birch? Check back to find out! The landscape clean-up continues as well...
